La Pointe Wisconsin is Madeline Island, or Madeline Island is the Town of La Pointe.  The largest of the 22 Apostle Islands, it is the only island of this archipelagos with a population of people.  Yes that is right, our neighboring islands are deserted.  Ever wish to be stranded?  Anyway, if you drive as far north as possible in Wisconsin you will discover the South Shore of Lake Superior dotted with small hardy communities, all with a welcoming handshake and smile.  Of course you won't miss the Islands, the jewels that crown Wisconsin.   We hope you visit, and we hope you will leave with a story to tell.  And maybe, just maybe, we'll feature your story or question on a future Madeline Island Radio Hour.
